Do you have a Parkinson's Plan of Attack?
(Hint: Most people don't.)
What if you could wake up each day, feeling empowered and confident that you're doing everything in your power to combat your Parkinson's symptoms?
If you're not sure that's possible, stay with me.
Whether you are grappling with a new Parkinson's diagnosis, or you have been traveling your Parkinson's journey for years, you are more than familiar with the whirlwind of feelings that can emerge.
► Feeling uprooted and ungrounded... You're not really sure what a Parkinson's diagnosis really means for you or your future and it's paralyzing your ability to take the next step forward. (What would that be, anyway?)
► Feeling unsupported and lost in the system... Since your diagnosis, you haven't gotten much guidance from your healthcare team. They may be the best of the best, but their suggestions for how to LIVE WELL with Parkinson's have fallen flat and left you wanting.
► Feeling curious but (very) easily overwhelmed... You've wanted to know more about the things you can be doing to improve your symptoms, but as soon as you get the nerve to search the web you're immediately launched into information overload and traumatized by horror stories that have left you so shaken you consider never opening your computer ever again.
If this you, I want you to know:
I hear you.
You are not alone.
There is more you can do than simply take more medication and pray for a cure.
That journey begins with one step. And it can start today.
Hi, I'm Sarah King.
I'm a Parkinson's physical therapist and founder of Invigorate PT & Wellness.
When I started Invigorate - my 100% Parkinson's specialized private practice - it was because I believed one thing to be true:
The traditional treatment regime for Parkinson's is failing people.
I heard client after client say,
"My doctor said there's not much I can do... so I take my medication, hope I don't get worse, and pray for a cure."
If you're reading this, it means you've found your way to Invigorate because you, too, refuse to accept that as an answer.
You're committed to living your best life and hungry to know more about what you can do today to ensure your future is as healthy, vibrant, and active as possible, despite your diagnosis.
Am I right?
However, sometimes it can be overwhelming and anxiety-provoking trying to take all the information out there about Parkinson’s and put it into action.
How can you know what works and what doesn’t?
Which approaches are worth your precious time and investment?
What if your symptoms look different than other people with the same diagnosis?
It’s not a surprise that when you don’t have a plan, you can feel lost, confused, and out of control.
From the get-go, I've worked with my clients to reverse the “just-pray- for-a-cure” mindset and create their own unique "Parkinson's Plan of Attack".
This plan has many facets all centered around one very important brain chemical, called Dopamine.
Until now I've only been able to share this strategy with my in-person clients...
...but that's all changing now.
In this workbook and the accompanying videos, I’m going to walk you through how to start setting up your own Parkinson’s Plan of Attack.
The beauty of having a plan -- knowing what to do, when to do it, and why -- is that it empowers you to confidently make healthy, positive choices each day to move the needle up the health scale.
It’s time to shift the Parkinson’s paradigm.
It starts with YOU, and today’s the day.
Are you ready?
Your 30-Day Parkinson's Plan of Attack Workshop
► Daily, Quick-Hitting Videos... Each day I'll share a simple strategies you can integrate into your personal Parkinson's Plan of Attack that are research-backed, powerful, and simple (in 10-minutes or less) so you can start feeling confident in your plan moving forward.
WEEK 1: All about MINDSET.
In order to succeed, we'll first have to examine how your current beliefs about your diagnosis contribute to your success (or lack there-of).
WEEK 2: Discover how to MAXIMIZE your dopamine.
We'll discuss the most potent strategies for unlocking the "Dopamine Dam" between your brain and body and move you into action mode.
WEEK 3: Explore how to PROTECT the dopamine-producing cells your brain and body.
At time of diagnosis, 60-80% of your dopamine-producing cells are lost. This week is focused on integrating strategies that protect the remaining 20-40%.
WEEK 4: Experiment with a variety of ways to SUPPLEMENT your Plan of Attack for optimal results.
Whether it's traditional Parkinson's medications, Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS), Tai Chi, or medical marijuana, we'll lay out all your options and discuss what part they may play in your Plan of Attack.
► Your Parkinson's Plan of Attack Workbook...
This downloadable PDF workbook will help you feel grounded by giving you something solid to refer to now and in the future. This will become the foundation of your Parkinson's Plan of Attack. ► Support inside our private Facebook community...
Share your "a-ha" moments, questions, wins, and struggles inside our private community so you feel like you're not walking this path alone.
